Book Review: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll

A review of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland / Through the Looking-Glass / Hunting of the Snark / Phantasmagoria and Other Poems.

We all know Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a classic and honestly classics scare me. I want to read them and love them but always worry I won't understand them and honestly, I did not understand this one but reading other reviews, I don't think I'm alone.

It was just a very confusing and very strange story. It was hard to keep up with and for a book that is on the shorter side, it took me a few weeks to get through and unfortunately ended up feeling more like a chore to finish. I know some people do love this one and I'm honestly a bit upset that I'm not one of them. I found Alice to be so difficult to read from, appearing so spoilt and honestly just a bit annoying.

I definitely preferred the film and this has not taken away my enjoyment for the basic story.
